A New Behind-the-Scenes Look at Shredder's Revenge

Developers Dotemu and Tribute Games release the first segment of their dev diary series giving a more detailed look at the game.

Today, developer Dotemu released a behind-the-scenes video exploring the inception of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge. Tribute Games’ studio, Co-Founder Jean-Francois Major and Dotemu CEO Cyrille Imbert discussed their excitement around developing a TMNT game with the iconic reptiles. Shredder's Revenge is an upcoming beat 'em up game co-created by Dotemu and Tribute Games.

Both companies have incredible portfolios that will undoubtedly support the upcoming project. Dotemu showed its creative strength with the stellar Streets of Rage 4. Tribute Games boasts key talent behind Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game plus beat-em-up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles released for Game Boy Advance in 2007.

The gameplay for Shredder's Revenge is based on classic mechanics from brawling games, which these companies are experienced with. The developers pulled back the curtain more on their creative process, what the IP means to them and the multi decade-spanning journey to get the game to become a reality.

Shredder’s Revenge is Coming Soon

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is coming to PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One later this year. Just like the late 80s classic series of games you'll be able to bash your way through pixel art environments and beat down tons of enemies with your favourite turtle.
