Fallout Pop-Up Emerges in Toronto

Prime Video delivers a mysterious Fallout shipping container with a larger-than-life “Radroach” installation.

Get ready Toronto; the latest megaton series from Prime Video has just dropped its payload with Fallout. To celebrate the show’s launch, a Vault-Tec shipping container has arrived at 18 York Street near Maple Leaf Square in the six. If you’re in the area, it’s tough to miss with a colossal 10-foot cockroach a.k.a. “Radroach” bug crawling on top of it. The hit video game franchise and the new TV series streaming exclusively on Prime inspired the installation.

This isn’t your typical oversized insect; it’s a shocking design that dwarfs anything Toronto has seen before. For now, the container is sealed from bandits and onlookers but will swing open for a limited time on April 12th from noon to 8 PM for a photo-op.

A Rad 1-Day Pop-Up Experience

If you’re a fan of the franchise, this one-day pop-up experience is one you shouldn’t pass up. Inside, you’ll find a one-of-a-kind photo opportunity inspired by the video game / TV show with a post-apocalyptic Toronto wasteland. A few visitors will receive special-edition Fallout posters on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Fallout on Prime Video

So, giant bugs, fallout shelters and photo ops…you might be wondering: what’s the connection to the show? In a nutshell, Fallout is a live-action series set in a future post-apocalyptic Los Angeles. Two centuries after a nuclear war that wipes out civilization as we know it, inhabitants of fallout shelters emerge to face a complex, weird, and violently charged universe. The story is told through 3 main arcs: Lucy, an ever-optimistic Vault-dweller, must navigate this treacherous landscape when forced to the surface to rescue her father. Rising through the ranks of the militaristic Brotherhood of Steel, Maximus seeks to bring law and order to the wasteland. And then there’s the enigmatic Ghoul, a morally ambiguous bounty hunter with a 200-year history. Their paths collide as they chase an artifact that could reshape their world’s power dynamics.

Celebrate the calamity in Toronto with this limited-time pop-up.
