Greatness Awaits Your Vinyl Collection

PlayStation reveals a trio of vinyl collectible soundtracks for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Ghost of Tsushima, and Returnal.

Sony has teamed up with Milan Records to bring three collectible albums featuring gorgeous new artwork and tracks to retail this summer. PlayStation Studios exclusive titles Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Ghost of Tsushima, and Returnal will all receive similar treatment.

Here's each title's pack shots and what will be included:

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Vinyl Set

The Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart soundtrack features the score by BAFTA-nominated Mark Mothersbaugh and Wataru Hokoyama. The record also includes the award-winning song "Join Me at the Top" from the time and space bending adventure. The vinyl design features acclaimed illustrator Shan Jiang, who created the rotatable panoramic cover art.

Jiang explained the inspiration for the work, “The cover concept focuses on duality and traveling among parallel universes. I learned that the game’s core idea is finding who you truly are through understanding yourself. Rivet and Ratchet became better versions of themselves through the adventures they experienced together. It is like Ratchet and Rivet are looking in the mirror, but in the mirror is another universe. So you can see the cover from Rivet’s point of view or Ratchet’s point of view, depending on how you want to hold the cover.”

The interior artwork is an ode to the main characters and their trusty sidekicks taking a break from the action. It's stunning to say the least:

Ghost of Tsushima: Music from Iki Island & Legends Vinyl Set

Milan Records' delivers the second volume from Sucker Punch's audio excellence with Ghost of Tsushima: Music from Iki Island & Legends.

The new pressing features Ilan Eshkeri’s iconic Jin Sakai theme in new compositions by Chad Cannon and Bill Hemstapat. The album features key art from the Director’s Cut expansion and multiplayer DLC.

The inside of the sleeve features the dramatic concept art of a ship’s graveyard, with character portraits on the disc labels.

As a bonus a “monkey onsen” foldout poster by Sucker Punch artist, Ian Chiew will also be included with the set.

Returnal: Original Soundtrack Vinyl Set

Last but not least is Housemarque’s Returnal which is also getting the Milan Records vinyl treatment. The album features music by Bobby Krlic’s and custom artwork from acclaimed artist David Mack.

For inspiration Mack spoke directly to Housemarque’s team, “discussion with the creators that fueled the imagery. They were kind to give me a list of words & ideas that served as catalyst points for the cover image. From the words, symbols and music, I made several drawings to try to crystalize the dimensional ideas. From our discussion of those, I made paintings based on what everyone reacted to best.”

The score to Returnal is pressed on a brilliant transparent yellow vinyl housed in a dress jacket, along with a credit insert.
