A big final announcement that took everyone by surprise was Saros, the latest action game from Housemarque makers of Returnal. Set on the planet Carcosa players step into the shoes of Arjun Devraj, a Soltari Enforcer portrayed by actor Rahul Kohli. Kohli, recognized for his roles in "Midnight Mass" and "The Haunting of Bly Manor," brings depth to the character as he explores the mysteries surrounding a lost off-world colony. The game introduces a permanent progression system, ensuring that each death reshapes the world and offers new upgrades, enhancing the player's journey through the haunting narrative.
Final Thoughts on the PlayStation State of Play 2025
For me, Sony's February 2025 State of Play event has set an exciting tone for the year ahead, and beyond. I saw a lot of third and first party titles that really resonated with me presenting a diverse gaming line-up that will cater to a wide spectrum of interests. From looks at Monster Hunter Wilds and Borderlands 4 to the introduction of innovative titles such as like Saros and Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, the State of Play had alot to offer. As these titles approach their release dates, anticipation within the PlayStation community continues to build, promising an engaging and dynamic gaming landscape in the months to come.
