Prince St. Pizza offers up DOOM: The Dark Ages collab, let’s rip and tear into a slice.

As a lover of bold flavours and iconic gaming franchises, I couldn’t pass up the chance to sink my teeth into one of the hottest crossovers of the year—literally. To celebrate the launch of DOOM: The Dark Ages, Xbox and Bethesda teamed up with Prince St. Pizza to unleash “The Hellfire Pepperoni Pizza.” The limited-time menu offering dares you to face the flames of Hell… in pizza form. I checked out this fiery collaboration firsthand, and here’s what I thought—pizza, DOOM-themed extras and all.

The DOOM x Prince St. Pizza Experience

This was my first visit to Prince St. Pizza, and the franchise’s Toronto restaurant delivered all the charm of a classic pizzeria—think exposed brick walls, massive old-school ovens, and an enticing display of “by the slice” options greeting you at the door. Known for their signature square pies and spicy marinara, the spot lives up to the hype with a menu full of bold, creative flavours. But on this trip, I was there for one slice in particular: The Hellfire Pepperoni Pizza. From the moment I stepped inside, it was clear I’d entered DOOM territory—promo posters, Slayer-themed T-shirts, and DOOM-branded pizza boxes were scattered throughout the storefront. It was time to rip and tear into a spicy slice of Hellfire.

The Hellfire Pepperoni Pizza: A Fiery Ingredient List

The fiery centrepiece of this infernal collaboration is, of course, The Hellfire Pepperoni Pizza. What I got wasn’t just a pizza with fancy packaging; it was a legitimately bold, spicy, and satisfying slice. I found the pizza wasn’t a gimmick—it’s a spicy, savoury slice that aligns with the kick-ass spirit of DOOM quite well. Too often, collabs like this stop at surface-level rebranding, but this one goes full throttle. Here’s what makes this slice sing… or more accurately, scream with some extra heat. It’s made with:

·       Smoked mozzarella offered a great base with a perfect melt.

·       Prince St.’s spicy marinara brings the familiar kick fans crave.

·       Crispy, curled pepperoni adds a salty punch and nice textural contrast.

·       Fresh habaneros deliver sharp, immediate heat that dances on your tongue.

·       And the final blow? A hellfire hot honey drizzle that coats everything in a sweet, smoky, infernal glaze.

Thoughts on The Hellfire Pepperoni Pizza

Each bite builds heat without being overwhelming—it’s layered, complex, and hard to put down after that first bite. You get the taste of a high-quality slice of pepperoni pizza with a nice punch of habanero with a sweet honey finish. Overall, I would recommend this slice to any heat lovers out there; it’s not overwhelmingly hot, but it offers a subtle kick. I can definitely recommend the Hellfire, and I’ll be back for another slice in the near future.

Came for the Pizza, Stayed for “The Extras”

With every Hellfire Pepperoni Pizza slice, you get a code for the Ranger Slayer Skin in DOOM: The Dark Ages and a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (if you are a new subscriber). I really appreciate a small add-on. Although a pizza flamethrower-style weapon would have been a real A+ add, it's still nice to get something that you can actually use in-game.

A Clever Slice of the DOOM Experience

I know this might sound odd, but the DOOM x Prince St. pizza box is a collectible worth showing up for alone. It features some incredible custom artwork, rich in Easter eggs and nods to the game’s hellish lore. The edges of the box have text references to weapons like the BFG, now BFP(izza), and the signature Cacodemon has been renamed the CacoDOUGHMAN. These funny, thoughtful references take things to the next level. I think they’re more than pizza boxes—they’re collectibles in their own right. Naturally, I snagged a few extras to save them from cheese and grease, I’ll be displaying these with some of my odder gaming collectibles.

DOOM Threads

The storefront also had one of two t-shirts available as part of the limited-time pizza collab. You can pick up your own tee on Prince St. Pizza’s website, featuring DOOM x Prince St. graphics—perfect for repping your fandom, even when you’re not holding a slice.

Final Thoughts on the Prince St. Pizza DOOM Collab

I must admit, I love clever little advertising extras that celebrate the launch of a game or a movie, and I’ve experienced my fair share of them. So, how does this stack up? I found this collab doesn’t just bring the heat—it brings the heart. It’s clear that both the pizza and the partnership were crafted with fans in mind, celebrating what makes DOOM iconic while elevating one of New York’s best pies with hellish flair.

If you’re near a Prince St. Pizza location in the U.S. or Toronto, don’t miss your chance to experience this limited-time slice of Slayer glory. It’s available now through June 15—just in time to fuel your launch-day session of DOOM: The Dark Ages, dropping May 15, 2025, on Xbox, PS5, PC, Steam, and Game Pass.

Whether you're a pizza enthusiast, a DOOM die-hard, or just someone who enjoys flirting with fire, this pizza is one hell of a good time.
