Ubisoft Forward 2021’s Big Reveals
Ubisoft kicked off E3 in style with a wide depth and breadth of gaming experiences.
Ubisoft always knows how to bring the heat at the start of E3 and this year was no different. During the Ubisoft Forward event the developer showed off over ten titles and plenty of surprises. Here are my highlights from the showcase, buckle up there are some fun surprises in store!
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction
Release Date: September 16, 2021
Rainbow Six Extraction, formerly known as Rainbow Six Quarantine, made its big debut during Ubisoft Forward. Extraction is a PvE co-op experience where you and up to two other players can form a squad composed of Rainbow Six Operators who have joined Ash, Mira, and Thermite. The group has formed the Rainbow Exogenous Analysis and Containment Team (REACT). It’s time to dawn your HAZMAT gear and eliminate the growing alien threat known as Archæans. You can pick your team from a roster of 18 Rainbow Six Operators, each with their own unique gadgets and skillsets.

Rainbow Six Extraction is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, the Ubisoft Store on Windows PC, and Stadia on September 16 and is included with Ubisoft+. Extraction will support cross-play and cross-save across all platforms.
Rocksmith+ Debuts
Release Date: Coming Summer 2021 to PC, Fall on Console and TBD on mobile
I was a big fan of the original Rocksmith on the Xbox 360, it was ground-breaking because it actually taught you how to play a real guitar. Sadly, the series went on hiatus for 10 years, but thankfully the band is getting back together.

Ubisoft announced the series is back as Rocksmith+ a subscription service with a host of new features. The new game will feature a unique visual interface, improved state-of-the-art note detection, real-time feedback, and all-new personalized recommendations. New tools include the Rocksmith Tablature option for long-time guitarists, MIDI playback, playlists, and how-to videos. Get ready to rock out, Rocksmith+ is coming to a platform near you!
Riders Republic
Release Date: September 2nd, 2021
Get ready to defy gravity and show off your wildest tricks in Riders Republic when it launches this fall. The massive multiplayer outdoor sports playground looks like it will have many different avenues for adrenaline junkies. The game really reminds of 2016’s Steep which was more focused on downhill winter sports.

In the latest look we got a look at the new Riders Ridge social space. This area in the game will help you learn how to do tricks, manage your career, access a variety of multiplayer modes and more.
Riders Republic arrives September 2nd for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Amazon Luna and Stadia.
Just Dance 2022
Release Date: November 4th, 2021
The #1 music videogame franchise of all time is back with Just Dance 2022 coming November 4 for Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Stadia. The new hook this year is three custom made songs from Todrick Hall a singer, dancer, actor, and choreographer. Check out the trailer below to see how Just Dance 2022 will get you moving.
Far Cry 6
Release Date: Full Game October 7, Season Pass Content TBD
It’s good to be bad! Another unexpected announcement during Ubisoft Forward was the stellar content coming to the Far Cry 6 Season Pass. You’ll be taking the reins as some of the most iconic villians in the Far Cry series from Vaas Montenegro, Pagan Min to Joseph Seed.
In each of the three DLC Episodes included with the Season Pass you’ll uncover more of their backstories and motivations.

Far Cry 6 is launching on October 7 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
Release Date: 2022
Mario and the Rabbids gang make their return on the Nintendo Switch in 2022! In this all new adventure Mario, Princess Peach, Luigi, Rabbid Mario, and Rabbid Peach are teaming up once more to take on Cursa and its minions. The galazy has been plunged into chaos by Cursa and consuming the energy of the Sparks. It’s up to the good guys to travel throughout the galaxy to save planets, rescue the Sparks and stop Cursa.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Release Date: 2022
Yves Guillemot the chairman and CEO of Ubisoft gave fans the ultimate, “…and one more thing” at the end of the presentation. Guillemot revealed a ‘First Look Trailer’ for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora showcasing jaw droppingly beautiful game footage. The in-game visuals are powered by the latest iteration of the Snowdrop engine. Frontiers of Pandora is a first person, action-adventure experience. The game is still a little way off, but in the mean time we have the stunning trailer to watch a few dozen times over:
