Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Coming Oct 20th, New Info Revealed

In a surprise announcement at Summer Game Fest Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was given a release date, it is now set to release on Friday, October 20th, 2023, exclusively for PlayStation 5. Host Geoff Keighley was joined by Insomniac developer Bryan Intihar on stage, to discuss the game.
Intihar shed light on the team's dedication and passion for creating an unforgettable Spider-Man gaming experience. He referenced Geoff's love for "exclusives" at his shows then went on to give Summer Game Fest a big reveal: Spider-Man 2 is coming this Fall on October 20th.
Spider-Man 2 Box Art Unveiled
Intihar proceeded to showcase the box art, highlighting that both Peter and Miles are central characters in the narrative. The striking red backdrop makes a comeback, while ominous shadows loom as beloved antagonists such as Venom, Lizard, and Kraven pose a menacing threat to the duo and Marvel's New York. Observant fans will notice that each hero's arm symbolizes their upgraded abilities – Peter with the symbiote and Miles with his enhanced bioelectric Venom powers.
Who is Venom in Spider-Man 2?
Intihar also teased on stage that Venom isn't who you think he is. So it appears that Eddie Brock is out of the picture, and someone else is taking on his mantle as Venom in Spider-Man 2. As a mysterious figure shrouded in darkness, Venom's identity has been kept hidden in the shadows.

Though rumours of his true identity have been swirling, fans will have to pick up the game and play to uncover who is truly behind the symbiote.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2: Different Editions and Bonuses
In conjunction with the Summer Game Fest reveals, PlayStation Blog also released more detailed information about the different editions of the game along with pre-order bonuses. Pre-orders will commence on June 16th, 2023, at all participating retailers, the PlayStation Store, and direct.playstation.com. They will be available starting at 10:00 AM local time (10 am EDT/7 am PDT in the U.S. and Canada).
Fans pre-ordering any edition of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will get a few bonuses, including early access to the Arachknight Suit for Peter (with three extra colour variants) and the Shadow Spider Suit for Miles (also featuring three additional colour variants). Additionally, players will receive early access to the Web Grabber gadget and three skill points to kick off their adventure.
Spider-Man 2 Digital Deluxe Edition: Exclusive Content and Costumes
The Digital Deluxe edition of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 boasts not only the game and all pre-order incentives, but also a collection of 10 exclusive suits (5 for Peter and 5 for Miles), extra Photo Mode frames and stickers, and 2 bonus skill points.
These 10 distinct suits were crafted by talented guest artists from the realms of comics, films, and PlayStation Studios. The featured creators include Kris Anka, Julia Blattman, Sweeney Boo, Anthony Francisco, Raf Grassetti, Jerad Marantz, Joel Mandish, Darren Quach, and Victoria Ying. Based on early images the designs look great, with a wide range of themes ranging from classic to modern, bright to dark.
