PlayStation State of Play rumours and speculation

The rumour mill has been working overtime, churning out possibilities that should be taken with a grain of salt. Many were unsure when or even if we’d see a State of Play before the busy Summer Game Fest season kicks off. Thankfully, one is on the way, and the wait is less than 24 hours away. Among the most talked-about is the potential for a short look at first-party titles that we haven’t heard much about since their initial announcement, for example, Insomniac’s Wolverine game, a title that fans have been waiting with bated breath to hear more about. Personally, I think this is unlikely, but as a Marvel fan, I can dare to dream. The whispers don’t stop there—the Ghost of Tsushima sequel has been incubating for a while; a short CG tease at the show's end would be quite a statement. Other rumoured highlights include updates on Haven’s Fairgame$ and Firewalk’s Concord. We might also see more on Bungie's upcoming Destiny 2 Expansion: The Final Shape, which will conclude Destiny 2’s epic Light and Darkness saga. And let’s not forget the potential new ASTRO BOT game from Team Asobi.
