PlayStation Canada sent over Saros launch gear, including a Soltari jacket, shirt, hat, decals and notebook, my full unboxing.

A layout of Saros video game clothing and items with a black jacket with "SOLTARI" text, a cap, notebooks with "SAROS" branding, and an artistic cover. "Dapper Tux x SAROS" text below.

To celebrate the launch of Saros, PlayStation Canada sent over a special media kit packed with mission-critical gear inspired by Housemarque’s new sci-fi spectacular. As someone who loves when gaming culture crosses into fashion, this kit immediately caught my attention. After experiencing and reviewing the game, the interstellar package offers a wearable slice of the Saros universe, with plenty of easter eggs throughout.

Armor-clad man kneels on a sandy desert, holding a gun. Overcast sky and rocky formations in the background create a tense mood.

That matters because Saros already has a strong visual identity. Housemarque’s new PlayStation 5 adventure follows Arjun Devraj, played by Rahul Kohli, as he searches for answers on the dangerous planet of Carcosa beneath an ominous eclipse. Coming from the creators of Returnal, Saros looks to build on Housemarque’s reputation for fast action, stylish sci-fi, and a loop built around persistence.

The kit taps right into that world. It feels like something issued before deployment. Less “logo slapped on a shirt,” more “Soltari field uniform with serious streetwear potential.”

Mission Ready Soltari Bomber Jacket

The standout part of the media kit is easily the Soltari bomber jacket.

At first glance, it has that grounded sci-fi utility look I love, think Aliens – futuristic but also grounded and rustic. The black outer shell gives it a clean, almost tactical feel, while the bold yellow quilted lining adds a sharp hit of colour that instantly connects back to Saros’ visual language. With the game’s world built around Carcosa, the eclipse, and the mystery of “The Yellow Shore,” that bright interior splash of yellow feels like a smart design choice that connects back to the game rather than a random accent.

On the chest, the “SOLTARI” name is silkscreened in yellow alongside a small geometric mark. In the fiction of Saros, Soltari is the mega corp that sends Arjun Devraj’s on his mission, so wearing the jacket gives the whole thing a cool in-universe feel. It is subtle enough to pass as a sharp streetwear piece, yet detailed enough that fans “in the know” will immediately notice it as a piece of fashion connected to the PlayStation universe.

That is my favourite kind of gaming fashion: subtle, sharp, well-thought-out, connecting back to the game.

The Saros Acid-Wash Shirt and Cap Complete the Look

The kit also includes a Saros acid-wash T-shirt and matching cap, both of which push the industrial sci-fi look even further.

The acid-wash treatment gives the shirt a worn-in, field-issued quality. It looks like something that has already been through a few runs on Carcosa and somehow made it back. Paired with the bomber jacket, it creates a full, layered, deep-space look.

The cap brings the whole fit together with a cleaner, more casual edge. I could easily see myself wearing the shirt and hat on their own, but the full combination with the jacket is where the kit really clicks. It has a coordinated identity without feeling overly costume-like.

“Come Back Stronger” a Great Fashion Statement

The phrase “Come Back Stronger” appears across the Saros kit, including on the shirt and hat, and it might be the most fitting slogan Housemarque could have chosen.

In Saros, the gameplay loop is built around survival, failure, recovery, and growth. Death is not just an ending. It is part of the structure. A lot of gaming merch only makes sense in a collector’s room. This feels like something you can actually wear out.

Saros Notebook and Decals

Beyond the clothing, PlayStation also included a branded envelope with vinyl decals and a sleek black notebook. The decals echo the same mysterious iconography seen on the jacket, which makes them feel like little pieces of Saros’ universe. They would look great on a laptop, hard case, gear box, or even a gaming setup.

The notebook is another nice touch, especially because it plays into the idea of field notes, mission logs, and documenting whatever horrors Carcosa might throw your way. It is a small addition, but it helps sell the idea that this is a full deployment kit rather than a random assortment of items.

Gaming Fashion Works Best When it Respects the World

What impresses me most about this Saros kit is how cohesive it feels.

The bomber jacket, yellow lining, Soltari insignia, sleeve markings, acid-wash shirt, cap, decals, and notebook all feel connected. They point back to Arjun, Carcosa, the Eclipse, and Housemarque’s larger themes of persistence, mystery, and survival.

That is how gaming fashion should work. It should not just advertise a title. It should capture the feeling of the world, which this does in really creative ways.

Saros is built around intensity, stylish action, and the idea of returning stronger after every attempt. This kit reflects that same energy. It is dark, sharp, slightly mysterious, and very wearable.

Thanks to PlayStation Canada, Housemarque, and PlayStation for sending over the dapper threads.

I’ll come back stronger and look sharp doing it.
