Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest 2024 kicked off the gaming announcement season with plenty to look forward to this year and beyond. Audiences around the world were treated to many exciting first looks, trailers and sneak peeks for highly anticipated titles such as Lego Horizon Adventures, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, Alan Wake 2: Night Springs Expansion: DLC, Monster Hunter Wilds and more.
Here are all the announcements and trailers in one spot:
LEGO Horizon Adventures
Release Date: Holiday season 2024
Horizon Adventures invites players to join Aloy and her friends on a new adventure in a world made of LEGO bricks. Players can expect to encounter giant LEGO robot dinosaurs, craft bases, and explore beautifully recreated landscapes. The game is designed for two-player action without the need for split screen, encouraging collaborative play and family fun.
No More Room in Hell 2
Release Date: Early Access October 31st, 2024
No More Room in Hell 2 set to launch in early access this Halloween, offering an 8-player co-op action horror experience. Developed by Torn Banner Studios, the game promises to deliver intense gameplay as players navigate through a world filled with zombies and other horrors.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions
Release Date: September 3rd, 2024
The Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions allows players to live their Quidditch fantasy solo or with friends. It’s a sports game that combines the magic of Harry Potter with the thrill of Quidditch, look for this one in early Fall.
Cuff Bust
Release Date: 2025
Cuff Bust invites you to escape prison with friends by equipping tools, evading guards, and executing a breakout plan. The game features destructible environments, proximity chat, a multitude of escape routes, and 20 player lobbies, promising a thrilling and cooperative experience.
Star Wars Outlaws
Release Date: August 30, 2024
Players will join Kay Vess, an emerging scoundrel seeking freedom and a new life, along with her companion Nix. They will fight, steal, and outwit their way through the galaxy’s crime syndicates as they join the galaxy’s most wanted. We got a new look at SGF 2024 with a promise of more to come at Ubisoft Forward on Monday, June 10th, 2024.
Neva
Release Date: 2024
The first look at Neva offered a visually stunning 2D platform game from Nomada Studio, the creators of GRIS. Set to release in 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch, it tells the story of Alba, a young woman bound to a wolf cub. Together, they embark on a perilous journey through a dying world, fighting off dark forces and exploring sun-dappled landscapes and midnight blue caves.
Sid Meier’s Civilization VII
Release Date: Coming 2025
Civ 7 is set to release in 2025 and promises to bring a revolutionary new chapter to the beloved Civilization franchise. Players can look forward to building the greatest empire the world has ever known, with new features and innovations that will empower them to explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate in a dynamic and engaging way.
Black Myth: Wukong - Pre-Order CG Trailer
Release Date: August 20, 2024
Developed by Game Science, the game draws inspiration from the classic Chinese novel “Journey to the West.” The trailer showcased the protagonist’s journey to become an immortal, facing new challenges in the West, and encountering both enemies and allies from the original story. The game is set to release on August 20th, 2024, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Once Human
Release Date: July 9th, 2024
Developed by Starry Studio, the game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity is on the brink of extinction. Players assume the role of a Meta-human, tasked with uniting with other survivors to combat the Great Ones and reclaim the human world. The game features a sandbox survival experience with a focus on third-person combat and exploration.
Batman: Arkham Shadow
Release Date: Late 2024
Batman: Arkham Shadow is the latest VR superhero foray launching exclusively on Meta Quest 3. Players will don the cape and cowl of the Dark Knight, navigating Gotham’s rooftops and battling crime with a blend of stealth and combat that’s signature to the series.

Delta Force: Hawk Ops, the free-to-play tactical shooter, is set to release on PC, consoles, and mobile. FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves characters

The game is set to release in early 2025 and promises to bring a new chapter to the Fatal Fury franchise with a fresh roster of characters and gameplay mechanics. Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind

The game looks to be a retro-inspired cooperative action beat 'em up, featuring colourful pixel art reminiscent of the 16-bit era. Players will take on the roles of the five main Rangers—Red, Pink, Black, Yellow, and Blue—as they fight against Rita and her minions in side-scrolling brawler. With its nostalgic graphics and engaging gameplay, “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind” promises to be a fun and action-packed experience for players of all ages. Deer & Boy Reveal Trailer

Described as a "cinematic platformer," Deer & Boy follows a boy’s journey as he escapes his reality after a tragic event and meets the fawn, which he eventually tames. As their friendship grows, they develop new skills together, helping the boy to rebuild himself and emerge stronger from his experiences.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Wanderstop is a narrative-centric, cozy game about change and tea. Playing as a fallen fighter named Alta, you’ll manage a tea shop within a magical forest and tend to the customers who pass through. But Alta does not want to be here. And if she gets her way, the tea shop will be nothing but a brief and painful memory.
Sonic X Shadow Generations

The game features a collection of stages from previous Sonic games, combining the best of both classic and modern Sonic adventures. Players can look forward to a mega Sonic collection that promises to deliver the high-speed action and platforming thrills that fans have come to love.

It presents fun strategic boss fights through 4-player co-op, various unique characters, exciting gunplay, and looting.
Among Us Animated Series

The Among Us TV show was announced at Summer Game Fest 2024, with CBS Studios and Inner Sloth collaborating on the project. Titmouse is animating the series, and Owen Dennis is directing the creative content. A trailer for the show has been released, generating excitement among fans. Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening was showcased with a story cinematic trailer, revealing an alternate universe where a daughter is born instead of a son. Alan Wake 2 Night Springs expansion

Remedy Entertainment announced the Alan Wake 2 expansion Night Springs, featuring three new episodes with characters experiencing the unexplainable. Players can become the Time Breaker, North Star, or Number One Fan, each with unique abilities to manipulate time, unravel cosmic mysteries, or fight shadows.
Alan Wake 2 Physical Editions Announced
Additionally, special Deluxe and Collector’s Editions of Alan Wake 2 were revealed, set to launch this autumn. The Night Springs DLC is available now, marking the start of two paid expansions for the game.
Honkai: Star Rail Expedition Trailer

Honkai: Star Rail teased its upcoming expedition with a new trailer. The game, which has been celebrated for its intergalactic adventures, is set to release its version 2.3 on June 19. This update will conclude the saga of Penacony and hint at a new interstellar odyssey. Additionally, the fan-favorite character March 7th will return with a new outfit themed on the Xianzhou Luofu.
Dark and Darker now live

Dark and Darker, which had been pulled from Steam due to legal issues with Nexon, is now available for free on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. The announcement at SGF was accompanied by a new trailer, signalling the resolution of the legal dispute and the game’s return to the market. This marks a new chapter for Dark and Darker, as it continues to offer its unique blend of fantasy dungeon-crawler systems.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of The Goddess

Capcom announced the release of Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Windows PC on July 19, 2024. The game is a single-player Kagura Action Strategy game, drawing inspiration from Japanese aesthetics, culture, and mythology. It combines action with strategy in a unique setting, featuring combat that includes sword dance elements and strategic commands.
Hyper Light Breaker early access

The highly-anticipated co-op rogue-lite adventure set in the beloved Hyper Light universe is launching into Steam Early Access later this summer. It looks to offer players the chance to explore the world of Hyper Light in 3D via single-player or online cooperative multiplayer.
Party Animals content update

The latest "skate." trailer featured live-action footage of M-Corp, with actor Tim Robinson the fictional company behind the game’s revival, and showcased short bits of gameplay elements. It also announced that console playtesting for Skate would begin in Fall 2024.
Palworld Sakurajim Update

The smash hit Palworld made an appearance with a significant expansion for the survival game. Set to release on June 27, 2024, the update promises a new island with a Japanese theme, new Pals, dedicated Xbox servers, new buildings, level caps, subspecies, a stronghold in an oil rig, an arena, a new faction and boss, and a new raid.
VALORANT console beta

Riot Games announced a limited beta starting on June 14, bringing the game to Xbox and PlayStation consoles. The beta aims to provide a seamless transition for PC players to console, with features like a connected inventory and cross-progression between accounts.
Squad Busters now live

The Squad Busters trailer part ad/part announcement introduced a new party action mobile game by Supercell. The trailer showcased a star-studded cast including Chris Hemsworth, Christina Ricci, Ken Jeong, Will Arnett, and Auli’i Cravalho, taking on the personalities of Supercell characters. The game promises 10-person multiplayer matches where players build squads and compete for gems, its out now on major mobile platforms.
Inside Out 2 clip featuring Lance Slashblade

Toward the end of the show we got a look at the “Inside Out 2” clip featuring Lance Slashblade, introducing a new character in the Pixar universe. Lance Slashblade is a video game character residing in the vault of secrets within Riley’s mind, voiced by Yong Yea.
Monster Hunter Wilds New Trailer

The latest look at Monster Hunter Wilds showcased the game’s expansive desert world and introduced a new monster for players to hunt.
