Super Bowl LX preview meets Madden NFL 26 as we simulate the big game, predict the winner, key moments, and even the Gatorade colour ahead of kickoff.

Super Bowl LX has arrived, and once again, we’re turning to Madden to predict a winner. Here are the results from dappertux.com’s annual Super Sunday digital gridiron showdown.

As the excitement builds for Super Bowl LX, the NFL season reaches its final and most spectacular chapter. This year’s big game takes place on February 8th, 2026, bringing Super Bowl energy back to the Bay Area at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. A fitting, sunny stage for one of the league’s biggest moments.

Two teams remain, each just four quarters away from lifting the Lombardi Trophy. Before the real kickoff, though, we did what we do every year at dappertux.com: fired up Madden NFL 26 to see how the virtual football and video game gods think Super Bowl Sunday might unfold.

Football teams face off on a colorful field; one team in navy and lime, the other in white. A packed stadium enhances the tense atmosphere.

Madden’s History of Super Bowl Predictions

EA Sports’ Madden NFL series has built a reputation over the years for its Super Bowl predictions, sometimes eerily accurate, sometimes hilariously off. Over the past two decades, Madden simulations have hovered around a 65% accuracy rate, which is just enough to keep fans coming back year after year to see how the digital dice roll. This year, EA Sports’ official Madden prediction sees the Seattle Seahawks taking the Super Bowl.

This marks dappertux.com’s fifth annual Super Bowl Madden simulation, and while our personal hit rate has been… let’s call it inconsistent, the tradition remains one of our favourite Super Bowl week rituals. At the end of the day, it’s less about bragging rights and more about the fun of seeing stars collide in a virtual Super Sunday.

A Look Back at Madden’s Super Bowl Track Record

There have been years where Madden absolutely nailed it. Super Bowl XLIX famously saw the game predict not just the winner, but a shockingly close version of how the matchup actually played out, right down to key momentum swings.

Then there are the outliers. Super Bowl XLVIII, for example, was forecast as a tight contest in Madden before turning into one of the most lopsided championship games in NFL history. It’s this unpredictability that keeps Madden simulations interesting; they’re never gospel, but they’re always entertaining.

Our Super Bowl LX Madden NFL 26 Simulation

With Super Bowl LX approaching, Dapper Jr. and I sat down to run this year’s simulation. We cranked the difficulty to its highest setting, updated rosters to reflect the latest depth charts and injuries, and let the AI handle both teams for a clean, hands-off result.

Here’s how our Madden NFL 26 Super Bowl LX simulation played out.

Super Bowl LX Coin Toss Prediction

New England wins the coin toss and elects to defer. Seattle receives the opening kickoff.

First Quarter - Super Bowl LX Play-by-Play

The game opened with both teams trading early possessions as the defences set the tone. Seattle struck first behind a steady opening drive led by Kenneth Walker III, who wasted little time making his presence felt.

Walker III picked up a first down on Seattle’s opening drive before Sam Darnold connected with Cooper Kupp for a 17-yard gain to move the chains. The Seahawks continued to lean on Walker, pushing the ball inside the red zone. After being stopped just short on third down, Seattle faced a manageable situation near the goal line.

Walker III finished the drive himself, punching in a short touchdown run. The extra point was good, giving Seattle an early 7–0 lead.

New England’s first possession showed flashes, with Drake Maye finding TreVeyon Henderson for an 11-yard gain and a first down, but the drive stalled before it could turn into points.

Second Quarter Super Bowl LX Action

New England opened the second quarter with the ball but struggled to find rhythm. Back-to-back incompletions put the Patriots behind schedule, and a failed fourth-down conversion handed the ball back to Seattle near midfield.

The Seahawks capitalized.

Darnold mixed short passes with another heavy dose of Walker III, quickly marching the ball downfield. Seattle reached the goal line once again, and after Walker was stopped just short on first-and-goal, he made no mistake on the next play, powering into the end zone for his second touchdown of the game. The kick was good.

Seattle 14 – New England 0

The Patriots attempted to respond, but drops and missed connections forced another fourth-down situation they couldn’t convert. Seattle took over once more and moved the ball efficiently, though the drive stalled just before halftime.

Third Quarter Summary for Super Bowl LX

Seattle opened the quarter with a punt, giving New England a much-needed opportunity to get back into the game.

Drake Maye delivered his best drive of the night, pushing the ball downfield with a 22-yard strike to Henderson to reach the Seahawks’ 43-yard line. Maye followed it up by hitting Stefon Diggs for a first down, then capped the drive with a 7-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Henry. The extra point was good, cutting the deficit to one score.

Momentum didn’t last long.

On Seattle’s ensuing possession, Darnold converted a key third down before connecting with Walker III again, this time for a touchdown reception. The Seahawks’ workhorse continued his dominant night, stretching the lead back to two possessions.

Facing urgency, Maye led another aggressive drive to open the fourth quarter. He completed a pass to Diggs at the 28-yard line, followed by an 11-yard gain to DeMario Douglas. A near interception stalled momentum briefly, but Maye rebounded with a 12-yard completion to Kayshon Boutte.

The drive ended with a Patriots touchdown, and Andres Borregales converted the extra point to make it a one-score game once again.

Seattle 21 – New England 14

Seattle took over possession with just enough time to manage the clock and avoid giving New England another chance. The Seahawks leaned on their run game and short passes, bleeding the remaining time off the clock and sealing the Madden-predicted victory.

Super Bowl LX Prediction: Post-Game Analysis

In our Madden NFL 26 simulation, the Seattle Seahawks emerge victorious in a Super Bowl LX matchup defined by ball control, timely scoring, and a dominant performance from Kenneth Walker III. While New England showed flashes of life in the second half, Seattle’s ability to answer every Patriots push ultimately made the difference.

Whether Madden 26 gets it right or not, Super Bowl Sunday always delivers. We’ll soon find out if the digital gridiron aligns with reality, but until then, grab the snacks, lock in your squares, and enjoy the biggest game of the year.
