Twisted Metal: A Sweet Surprise from Paramount+
Twisted Metal is now streaming in Canada exclusively on Paramount+ to celebrate Sweet Tooth dropped off a surprise.
To celebrate the launch of Twisted Metal, Paramount+ Canada sent a sweet and twisted surprise to dappertux.com. The new series is based on the classic PlayStation car combat video game franchise that debut back in 1995. The game managed to carve out a niche for itself, thanks to its unique gameplay, wild rides and bizarre characters. Sweet Tooth, the flaming-haired clown, emerged as the franchise's iconic face, captivating gamers with his twisted charm. We haven't seen a Twisted Metal game since 2012 on the PS3, but the series has returned in a brand new TV series streaming exclusively on Paramount+ in Canada.
Twisted Metal Returns!
Fast forward to 2023 and the gaming series now has its very own TV show. The show is a gory, dark action-comedy that pays homage to the games while adding new twists and turns. The car combat icon Sweet Tooth returns, and is voiced by Canadian actor Will Arnett (Arrested Development, Murderville) with physical performance of the character by Samoa Joe.
Twisted Metal also stars Anthony Mackie as John Doe, Stephanie Beatriz as Quiet and Thomas Haden Church as Agent Stone. Along the way, they encounter Raven, a mysterious woman played by Neve Campbell. The series follows John Doe (Mackie), a deliveryman with amnesia who is offered a chance to have his wish granted if he can deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Sweet Tooth was Here
Along his way across the wasteland, Sweet Tooth made a surprise delivery to dappertux.com. Inside a large cardboard box was a pink polka dot retro-style mini fridge with theTwisted Metal logo complete with magnets themed after the show. If you want to see the full video unboxing it's available via @dapper_tux on Instagram Reels and TikTok.
From a "Got Milk?" bumpersticker to Sweet Tooth himself, the fridge looks like its ripped straight out of the show. Inside the unit is where things get really interesting, packed with treats, car accessories and other surprises. Let's take a look at what else the killer clown brought to town:
Streaming with a sprinkle sundae
The fridge is fully functional and can store drinks, snacks and a selection of Sweet Tooth's favourite ice screams. Speaking of snacks, a Sweet Treat Kit was included with everything you would need to make your own ice cream sundae: a Twisted Metal scoop, toppings, bowls, and more.
The most unique feature of the fridge is in the freezer which houses a mini TV screen that plays clips from the show. It’s like having your own private screening room in your kitchen.
Outfitted for automotive mayhem
Along with the treats, Sweet Tooth was also sure to include some essential fashion and car accessories. For such a psychotic clown, he's quite thoughtful and has a knack for car safety. In the fridge I found a Twisted Metal sweatshirt, ball cap, and car drop bag to hit the road with.
The leather bag features all sorts of automotive accessories: a window break escape hammer, flashlight, Sweet Tooth air fresheners and a 3M popsocket.
If you were wondering what the scent of Sweet Tooth is... a strong (yet tasteful) men's cologne, I guess he doesn't clown around with personal hygiene.
Stream Twisted Metal Today on Paramount+ Canada
It was fun unboxing the fridge and I can’t wait to stock it up with some ice cream and watch Twisted Metal on Paramount+. If you’re a fan of the games or just looking for some explosive entertainment, you should definitely check it out. Twisted Metal is streaming exclusively on Paramount+ in Canada starting from August 10th, 2023. You can watch Twisted Metal on Paramount+ Canada by subscribing here.
